What is a Safety Valve?
The safety valve is a protective device for the fluid pipeline systems located behind the valve, stabilizing pressure and keeping the pressure at a fixed level.
Principle and structure of Safety Valve
The safety valve has a piston-like structure with cylindrical or disc-shaped moving parts; the detail to distinguish the valve is based on the spring. The valve opens when system pressure is applied to the top of the piston, and that force overcomes the force of the spring. The spring tension is the preset pressure for the valve and is adjusted via the ECU on the top of the valve. The safety valve is added to need to open quickly by hand; in case the valve is stuck, we can operate it manually, open and discharge the system.
Reasons for excess pressure in a system:
-
Discharge is blocked
-
Exposure to external fire is called an “Instance of Fire.”
-
Thermal expansion
-
Chemical reaction
-
Heat exchanger tube rupture
-
Faulty cooling system
